Today’s 21 Most Important Marketing Tactics
Tom Armitage
I can’t believe it’s been six years.
In August 2014, I prepared a blog post on “99 Marketing Tactics That Every Marketer Should Know.”
I spent a good amount of time in those days preaching the message about the importance of integrated programs. In other words, stop putting your eggs in only one basket and thinking it’s going to warrant results.
We know customer behavior isn’t linear – even in 2014 – and it takes multiple touchpoints – across multiple media – to make a sale.
But maybe I went too far.
Maybe when I talked about 99 marketing tactics, I gave off the impression that businesses should spread themselves out across enough channels to improve the likelihood of being found. That’s not what I meant.
Now, I have a new motto.
Stop wasting time on tactics that don’t matter.
Instead of 99 tactics, I’m going to only focus on the 21 that matter.
I’ve taken my original list and make tweaks based on today’s digital landscape.
Here’s my new and improved ebook of “21 Tactics That Every Marketer Should Know” for you to review as you create your plan.
